This project was created as a custom profile picture, with the sole constraint that the design feature a lotus as the central subject. I began by developing a high-contrast black-and-white illustration of the lotus to establish strong visual clarity and shape definition. From there, I explored multiple color variations to test different moods and visual impacts. The final design, selected from these explorations, balances contrast and color for a bold and versatile profile image.

This high-contrast image of Cristiano Ronaldo was one of my first projects using Adobe Illustrator to create high-contrast artwork. Developing this technique became a skill I continued to apply in multiple projects afterward.
Swordfish Translation

This project focused on translating a single image into a four-part black-and-white value progression, moving systematically from light to dark using only black and white. Using a swordfish as the subject, I created four distinct interpretations that function both independently and as a cohesive series, each emphasizing different value relationships. The series progresses in equal value steps, showing the role of light as the primary subject and demonstrating control over contrast, abstraction, and visual clarity.
